Tottenham v Stoke: Back Spurs to bounce back in style at the Lane

Tottenham Hotspur may have suffered a miserable European exit in midweek but there will be no Premier League hangover when Stoke City head to White Hart Lane.

The Lilywhites have an impeccable record on home turf this season, only dropping top-flight points in draws against Liverpool and Leicester City respectively.

And given that run of form, Mauricio Pochettinio’s side fully justify their skinny odds of 2/5 to take all three points with Stoke the 13/2 outsiders and the draw available at 4/1.

On the other side of the coin, Mark Hughes’s visitors are firmly stuck in mid-table mud. And with no European distractions from here on in, Spurs can revitalise their faint title hopes or at the very least cement their position in the top four with victory in this contest.

The hosts demolished Stoke in the reverse fixture when recording back-to-back 4-0 victories over the Staffordshire outfit back in September.

It’s 16/1 for a repeat scoreline here although the 11/10 for Tottenham -1 or 11/8 for the home side to win to nil both look safer options.

Interestingly, only three of the last nine meetings have featured goals for both sides so ticking ‘No’ for Both Teams to Score at 10/11 could also offer value.

However, if you’re looking at goalscorers then Harry Kane is the obvious place to start having netted 14 Premier League goals so far this term and three in his last two appearances against Stoke.

Kane is 5/2 to net first on this occasion with fellow England international Dele Alli 4/1 and Heung-Son Min a 5/1 shot.

The latter scored a brace in the Potteries and is just 6/4 to net at any time.

There could well be one potential sting in the tail though with long-time Spurs target Saido Berahino in line to make his first start for Hughes’s outfit.

Berahino is 15/4 to score while it’s 14/1 for the former West Bromwich Albion striker to bag in an away win.

Elsewhere, we’re offering the following Headline Boosts from 08:00 on Sunday 26 February.
