Roberto Mancini 7/4 favourite to be next Leicester City manager

Published:

Roberto Mancini is the early 7/4 favourite to succeed Claudio Ranieri and jump into the Leicester City hotseat following the fellow Italian’s sensational sacking.

Ranieri famously led the 5000/1 shots to the Premier League title last season but the Foxes’ follow-up campagn has seen the club fall to just one point above the drop zone.

And even reaching the last-16 of the Champions League has failed to save Ranieri from the chop with the King Power hierarchy wielding the axe following last night’s 2-1 defeat at Sevilla.

Former Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is next on the list of potential replacements at 5/1 with Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa a 6/1 shot.

Perhaps more surprising is the fact that Ranieri’s predecessor Nigel Pearson is available at 7/1 with the same price quoted for Wales incumbent, Chris Coleman.

Whoever takes the helm will have to arrest a slide that’s seen Leicester lose seven of their last nine games in all competitions, including five straight in the top-flight without scoring a goal.
