PSG v Barcelona: Barca’s goal-getters generously priced in Paris

Published:

We could hardly be set for a more thrilling fixture as Paris Saint-Germain host Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with the free-scoring pair chalking up 17 wins and three draws in their last 20 games combined.

With both sides in excellent form, it’s tough to call the outright market, with PSG 23/10 for victory, Barca 11/10 to win and 12/5 on offer for the draw.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t some savvy selections for us to tip up, with plenty of value in backing plenty of goals, and the Blaugrana hitmen to shine.

Luis Suarez has scored 10 goals in as many games, including a double in the 6-0 demolition of Deportivo Alaves at the weekend. So he looks well worth backing to get on the scoresheet anytime here at 6/5.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has netted in 16 of his last 19 games – a spectacular run even by his standards. And the Evens for him to score anytime is already proving popular, while there’s 9/2 on offer for him to net two or more goals for the fourth time in the UCL this term.

But it’s unlikely that they’ll be the only side finding the net. Three of the last four meetings with this pair have produced four goals or more. PSG have also scored in each of their last 16 games, while Barca have registered in all of their last 20.

That means the 8/13 for Both Teams to Score looks like easy money, as does the 4/5 on offer for us to see more than 2.5 goals. And those expecting more of the high-scoring affairs we’ve seen from the pair before can back over 3.5 goals at a generous 15/8.

Finally, for those looking to back Unai Emery’s men, you could do a lot worse than getting on the 13/8 for Les Parisiens to net the first goal of the second half – something they’ve managed in each of the last seven games.

Having a bet on the big game? Why not enjoy our brilliant price boosts – Cavani to score and PSG to win WAS 7/2 NOW 9/2 and Messi to score and Barcelona to win WAS 9/4 NOW 3/1.
