Ozil? Aguero? Lukaku? Who’ll be leaving their club this summer?

Published:
Mesut Ozil

We may have seen records broken in last summer’s transfer window, but if the latest odds are anything to go by, this year could be even busier for sides in the Premier League.

Every team in the top-flight is at risk of losing their key players not only to their rivals in the division, but also to the Chinese Super League.

And with the constant threat of a major transfer shock, our odds compilers have been busy pricing up the likelihood of these five huge names parting ways with their current employers when the season ends…

Daniel Sturridge to leave Liverpool this summer – 1/3

It’d hardly be a surprise to see Sturridge leave Liverpool this summer, given that the England international has started just 13 Premier League games since Klopp took over in 2015.

But the question is where does he go?

A whole host of English clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old in the last two transfer windows, including the likes of Southampton and West Ham.

So surplus to requirements at Anfield, Sturridge could be available on the cheap for either of the aforementioned sides this year.

Anthony Martial to leave Manchester United this summer – Evens

Martial sat on the bench for yet another week as Manchester United breezed past Leicester City on Sunday.

Clearly unfavoured by boss Jose Mourinho, a move would probably be best for both parties.

It’s unlikely the Portuguese boss would sell the forward to a rival Premier League club, while Martial would surely turn down a move to China at this stage in his career.

Could the Red Devils use the Frenchman as a bargaining tool for one of their own summer targets – Antoine Griezmann?

Sergio Aguero to leave Manchester City this summer – 7/4

Speculation surrounding Aguero’s Man City future is rapidly intensifying, and the market for his next club suggests there are a whole host of European heavyweights queuing up for his signature.

Apparently he’s not a Pep Guardiola-style player, and thus the Spanish boss will look to send him packing at the end of the season.

The odds are certainly suggesting that could be the case too.

Romelu Lukaku to leave Everton this summer – 3/1

Has Everton’s star striker finally outgrown his club?

Already with 16 Premier League goals to his name this season, that takes his tally in the top-flight to 76.

Not bad for a 23-year-old.

While the Toffees are in great form right now, it’s unlikely they’ll finish above sixth place. Will that be enough to keep Lukaku at Goodison Park?

We’ll find out this summer, but the odds suggest our traders aren’t ruling a move out.

Mesut Ozil to leave Arsenal this summer – 4/1

Ozil has reportedly said he’ll only stay on at Arsenal providing Arsene Wenger remains in charge.

That looks increasingly unlikely, and as a result, the World Cup winner’s odds to leave are now the shortest they’ve been for some time.

With the Gunners seemingly out of the title race, could Ozil be set for an Emirates exit?
