How Twitter reacted as Lincoln City land historic Emirates FA Cup win
Published:The draw for the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round promised a number of upsets, and in the opening game of the round, Lincoln City did just that.
Sean Raggett’s 88th-minute header ensured the Imps a famous 1-0 win away at Burnley, a venue where even Chelsea couldn’t win earlier this month.
It means the Lincolnshire outfit are the first Non-League side to reach this side in over 100 years, but in short, what they have achieved is incomparable.
It certainly went down well on Twitter…
Gary Lineker loved it…
Marvellous. Lincoln City become the first non league side to make the 6th round of the FA Cup in modern times. History is made.
