FC Porto v Juventus: Visitors well priced for first leg victory

Published:

It’s been a while since Juventus lost the first leg of a Champions League Last 16 tie – eight years in fact. And we’re not expecting that to change any time soon, as Max Allegri’s men head to Porto in fine form.

And before we talk about any of the other markets currently available on this match, we reckon it’d be hard to find better value than the 5/4 currently on offer for Juve to grab an early advantage in this two-leg tie by nicking a win at Estadio do Dragao.

The Serie A league leaders have been on fire on the road in Europe this season, having won all three of their previous away games this campaign.

They’ve not been too shoddy in the league of late, either, winning their last six games. And it’s no surprise to see Gonzalo Higuain on the scoresheet in most of those matches. In fact, the Argentina international has netted seven goals in his last eight games and has 22 goals in 30 games this season.

He’s 10/3 to score first, while 5/4 says he nets at any time.

Defensively they’ve been equally as sound, especially in this competition. They’ve conceded just two goals in their six Champions League games so far this year, while they’ve managed five clean sheets in their last seven league matches.

With that in mind, it could be worth getting on the 11/8 for Juve to keep their 17th clean sheet of the season, while 12/5 says they win to nil.

However, the hosts do head into this one on a decent run themselves, having picked up 18 points from their last six Primeira Liga matches.

And those of you fancying a home win can get odds of 12/5.
