Cheltenham Price Movers: Defi and Wholestone look tempting

Now that the dust has settled following a gripping – and highly emotional – weekend of racing, we’ve been looking at where the antepost money has been going ahead of this year’s Cheltenham Festival.
Defi Du Seuil was the first winner on Saturday’s cracking card at Prestbury Park and he’s been repeatedly backed for the Triumph Hurdle.
Having been a 7/1 shot last Friday, Philip Hobbs’ charge is now 4/1 following his impressive display.
Royal Vacation provided Colin Tizzard with another big weekend winner and now finds himself at 16/1 (from 25/1) for the RSA Chase while Unowhatimeanharry is now a clear 6/4 favourite for the Stayers’ Hurdle after landing the Cleeve Hurdle.
Meanwhile, Constantine Bay landed the River Don Novices’ Hurdle at Doncaster, edging a titanic battle with No Hassle Hoff. We’ve entered the Nicky Hendeson-trained bay as a 16/1 chance for the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle in March.
But he’ll have some serious competition, with Nigel Twiston-Davies’ Wholestone now just 8/1 for the same race. That was the six-year-old’s third win at Cheltenham and he’ll now head straight to the Festival.
Elsewhere, Un De Sceaux successfully defended his Clarence House Chase crown, despite a spirited challenge from the returning Uxizandre.
Willie Mullins’ star has been well-backed into Ryanair Chase favouritism, with 3/1 his current price (from 7/2).
Stablemate Vroum Vroum Mag really had to tough it out to land the spoils on Town Moor and secure a 12th victory in 13 starts. And given her versatility she’s currently entered in six Festival races with her price for the Mares’ Hurdle on the drift and out to 7/4.
From the same card, Melon hacked up by 10 lengths at Leopardstown on Sunday and now finds himself as the 10/3 favourite for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
On the same card, Petit Mouchoir scored in the Irish Champion Hurdle and has been slashed from 6/1 to 9/2 for success in the Festival equivalent.
And finally, with Thistlecrack being touched off by the brave Many Clouds in the Cotswold Chase, his price on landing the Cheltenham Gold Cup has gone out from 8/11 to 7/4.
