Bayern Munich the latest European heavyweight chasing Tottenham’s Dele Alli

Published:

Tottenham fans are in for a nervy summer – possibly the first of many – as clubs clamour to prise their star talents. And the latest reports claim European giants Bayern Munich want to snap up Dele Alli.

The midfielder is enjoying a stunning campaign, notching 11 Premier League goals three assists.

And still only 20 years old, it leaves us all wondering just what heights Alli can achieve in his career.

Thankfully for the White Hart Lane faithful, Daniel Levy has been busy behind the scenes this season, agreeing new deals with all of Tottenham’s star men.

And that includes Alli, who only signed a new deal last September.

But would that be enough to scare off Bayern?

There’s not a chance in Haringey that Spurs would sell Alli for under £60m, and given that Bayern’s record signing is £34m, the Bundesliga kings may not come calling.

And Bayern have already committed to spending £17m this summer for Hoffenheim’s Niklas Sule.

But being linked with the Munich outfit is the latest indication of just how highly Alli is regarded on the continent.

PSG and Real Madrid have already been tipped with the former MK Dons man this season.

After being held by Sunderland in midweek, Tottenham will be hoping to return to winning ways this weekend.

Middlesbrough are the visitors to the Lane this weekend, and we make Mauricio Pochettino’s men strong favourites for victory at 1/4.
