Bayern Munich new favourites for Champions League – Arsenal 100/1

Bayern Munich are the new 11/4 favourites for Champions League glory this season, after the Germans’ 5-1 hammering of Arsenal last night.

And that result has left the Gunners out in the doldrums at 100/1 to go all the way, requiring something of a miracle if they’re to overturn that deficit in the second leg.

At least Arsene Wenger’s men can lay claim to an away goal however, which is more than Barcelona.

The Catalan giants had a nightmare 4-0 loss versus Paris Saint-Germain, and having been favourites to win the tournament on Tuesday morning, Luis Enrique’s men are now out of the mix at 40s.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s excellent 3-1 victory over Napoli last night thrust the reigning champions into 7/2 second favourites.

But the big movers are PSG, who have tumbled into contention from 33s into 6s following that confident win at the Parc des Princes.

It’s also been a good week for Atletico Madrid and Juventus, despite neither side playing.

Diego Simeone’s men have been trimmed from 10s into 8s, while the Old Lady are now at the same price, having been 14/1.

Borussia Dortmund were also defeated this week, but with their odds drifting only slightly from 10/1 to 14s, our traders must fancy the Bundesliga outfit to overturn their 1-0 deficit against Benfica.

While Arsenal’s hopes have all but ended, Manchester City and Leicester remain hopeful of progression.

The Citizens will host Monaco next week, while Leicester will look to grab something from a tricky trip to La Liga title hopefuls Sevilla.
