Our traders aren’t ruling out this potential Arsenal-Juventus swap deal

Speculation linking Alexis Sanchez with an Arsenal exit is refusing to go away. And with the Chile international still yet to sign a contract extension, reports this morning are linking the 28-year-old with a move to Juventus.

But that’s only half the story.

Arsene Wenger has apparently long been an admirer of Juve midfielder Miralem Pjanic, and it’s now thought that should Sanchez return to Italy, the Bosnia and Herzegovina man will go the other way.

And at 8/1, that’s clearly something our traders aren’t going to rule out any time soon.

While he’s not exactly the like-for-like replacement fans will want – there’s certainly some sense in a potential Pjanic arrival.

With Santi Cazorla approaching the latter stages of his career, it’s fair to say the Gunners are lacking some genuine creativity in the centre of the park.

Add Pjanic to their ranks though, and suddenly you have a solution.

With seven goals and nine assists already to his name this season, the playmaker is flourishing in Turin in Paul Pogba’s absence – and he’s on track to record his best figures since turning professional.

Sanchez has been in incredible form for the Gunners of late, and has already scored 16 goals and assisted 13 in all competitions this campaign.

But a cash-plus-player offer from Juve may be too good for Wenger to refuse.

And although it’s unlikely any potential deal will go ahead between now and the end of the month, there’s every chance 26-year-old Pjanic will be lining up alongside the likes of Francis Coquelin and Granit Xhaka next season.

But what do fans think? Should Arsenal do everything they can to keep hold of Sanchez, or would it be best for both parties if the Chilean moved on?
