La La Land backed off the boards for 2017 Oscars glory

La La Land is being well-backed for repeat success at the Oscars next month, according to the latest odds.
After picking up a record-breaking seven Golden Globes overnight, punters have piled into La La Land’s chances of adding to its awards season haul.
So much so that it’s now long odds-on at 1/4 the film scoops Best Picture at the Oscars.
We’ve also priced up a number of La La Land specials with 11/10 available for the hit musical to scoop over eight wins at the 89th Academy Awards.
Meanwhile, it’s 20/1 for the film to beat the record for most Oscar wins (currently 11) and just 5/1 for the Damien Chazelle picture to equal the record number of nominations (14).
Elsewhere, it’s 10/1 for La La Land to follow-up with Best Picture, Director, Actor and Actress gongs.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters have gone gaga for La La and it’s already looking impossible to see the film missing out on the main Oscars gong.”
