Wolverhampton Wanderers have produced an almighty Emirates FA Cup shock in defeating Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.

Paul Lambert’s side are 18th in the Championship table but they belied their pre-match odds to see off their Premier League opponents and emerge triumphant following a gripping Fourth Round encounter.

And as you’d expect, Twitter has exploded!

The afternoon got off to the perfect start for the Old Gold with Richard Stearman scoring a rare goal after just 53 seconds…

Andreas Weimann then made it 2-0 before half-time with an ice cool finish.

Divorck Origi pulled one back late on to set-up a tense finale.

What do you think a certain high-profile absentee is making of Liverpool’s poor run of form?

The Reds’ rivals have been quick to rub it in.

But enough of all that. Let’s turn our attention back to the day’s heroes.

Scenes. In answer to the question below, Wolves were as big as 12/1 pre-match!

And finally, let’s revel in the creation of more magical Emirates FA Cup memories.
