Crystal Palace favourites to land Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho

Mamadou Sakho’s exile at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp could soon be coming to an end, with CrystaL Palace leading a number of clubs chasing the defender’s signature.

Eagles boss Sam Allardyce is busily trying to bring in a number of players before January’s window slams shut in under a fortnight, and the Selhurst Park outfit are favourites for the centre-half’s signature at 6/1.

Sakho hasn’t featured in any first-team game for Liverpool this season, making just six appearances in Premier League 2.

The 26-year-old’s contact on Merseyside runs until 2020, and with a transfermarkt.co.uk valuation of £10m, any buyer will have to fork out up to £15m.

That would still represent a loss for Liverpool, who spent £18m for the French international from PSG in 2013.

Sakho did make 22 Premier League appearances for the Reds last term, but any action this year would be a major surprise.

Behind Palace in the betting are West Ham at 7s.

It’s 8/1 that Sakho heads north-east to join Sunderland, with West Brom a 10/1 shot.

A move to Hull is rated pretty much a no-go at 25/1, with the Tigers’ financial restraints limiting their January activity.
