Chelsea shorten for Emirates FA Cup glory, Arsenal on the drift

Chelsea are the new favourites to win this season’s Emirates FA Cup following the draw for the Fourth Round. 

The Blues have been cut to 4/1 from 5/1 having been paired at home to Championship outfit Brentford while London rivals Arsenal have seen their odds drift.

After pulling out an away tie at either Southampton or Norwich City the Gunners are now 13/2 from 6/1.

Holders Manchester United remain available at 5/1 with Newcastle United the shortest second-tier side for cup glory at 50/1.

National League teams Lincoln City (1250/1) and Sutton United (2000/1) are the biggest outsiders to reach Wembley and lift the world’s most famous piece of silverware.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The big guns were kept apart and as such the odds of FA Cup glory for the majority of the fancied sides have shortened. Following the third round the outsiders would be within their rights to dream of a little bit more magic however.”
