Chelsea remain odds-on for the title despite Spurs slip-up

Published:

Chelsea are still odds-on for this season’s Premier League title, despite Tottenham ending their winning streak last night.

The Blues are still in pole position in the betting at 7/10, drifting from 4/7 with Spurs now fourth in the list, coming in to 12/1 from 20/1.

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are odds-on (4/6) for a top-four finish as a result of their deserved 2-0 victory, while Dele Alli comes in to 25/1 from 200/1 for the Golden Boot following his brace.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Spurs might have stopped Chelsea from making history but they don’t appear to have derailed their title bid according to the betting. Spurs fans might now talk of being in the race for Premier League trophy, but retaining their Champions League spot remains a coin toss as it stands.”

Both sides now face a break from league action with the Emirates FA Cup Third Round taking centre stage this weekend.

Chelsea are 2/11 to see off League One side Peterborough United at Stamford Bridge while Tottenham are 2/7 to beat Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.
