Bournemouth favourites to sign John Terry in January

Published:

Bournemouth could make a surprise January move for Chelsea’s John Terry, according to the latest odds.

Injury concerns to Marcos Alonso have forced the Blues to recall Nathan Ake from his impressive loan-spell on the south coast.

And now Eddie Howe is targeting Terry to help fill the void, with the bookies making the Cherries 5/2 favourites for his signature.

West Ham’s search for defensive reinforcements makes them second favourites in the betting at 6/1.

And Terry is 8/1 to follow ex-teammates Ramires and Oscar to China.

A switch to MLS is a 10/1 shot, with Everton and Crystal Palace the outsiders for the former England international.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Losing Ake mid-season is a blow to Bournemouth, but the odds suggest Howe isn’t finishing bringing in defenders from Stamford Bridge.”

After an Emirates FA Cup exit to Millwall last weekend, the Premier League is Bournemouth’s sole concern for the remainder of the campaign.

Howe’s men head north to Hull this weekend, and we make the Cherries 6/5 favourites to pick up all three points.
