Bilic confirms Payet is refusing to play and wants to leave West Ham

Slaven Bilic isn’t a man to mince his words, and today the West Ham boss revealed the true extent of the situation regarding star man Dimitri Payet – and it isn’t good news for Hammers fans.

The French star has failed to live up to the heights of last season’s heroics, reflecting the club’s disappointing campaign so far.

And Bilic today announced that the 29-year-old doesn’t want to play for the club.

Speculation has surrounded Payet’s future all season, and the latest odds put Marseille at the top of the betting at 7/2.

Manchester United were heavily linked with the winger last summer, and the Red Devils are 5/1 second favourites to land the creative wizard.

Though the club claim they won’t sell, there are no shortage of suitors for the 29-year-old.

It remains to be seen what role – if any – Payet plays at the weekend, when the Hammers host Crystal Palace.

At 11/10, the bookies make Bilic’s men favourites, but those odds could be set to change after today’s revelations.
