Big Sam 4/6 to reunite with ex-Sunderland ace at Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are on the verge of adding some much-needed midfield steel before the window closes, with Sam Allardyce 4/6 for a reunion with former Sunderland ace Yann M’Vila.

The 26-year-old loanee was one of the Black Cats’ bright sparks last season as they beat the drop, with his immensely solid displays in defensive midfield proving vital at the business end of the campaign.

However, the Frenchman also showed his creative abilities on Wearside, finishing 2015-16 as the club’s joint-highest assist maker with five. And he’s continued to prove his quality since returning to parent club Rubin Kazan this term.

Having failed to feature in their first eight league games – where Rubin won just twice – he’s now played in the last nine, helping Volzhane pick up 14 points in the process.

And that form hasn’t only drawn the attention of Big Sam and co.

In fact, it’s two of the Eagles’ gaffer’s former clubs who have joined Allardyce in the race for the former France international.

Newcastle United are priced up at 5/1 to secure his signature, while there’s 10s on offer for the former Stadium of Light favourite to make a speedy return to the club he left in May.

Next up for Palace is an Emirates FA Cup tie against Manchester City this weekend, with 5/1 for the hosts to enjoy victory at Selhurst Park.

By then, we could be seeing a certain Mr. M’Vila making his bow in front of the Eagles faithful.
