Wilfried Zaha now odds-on for sensational Tottenham Hotspur move

Published:

Wilfried Zaha could be set to make White Hart Lane his next destination, with Tottenham Hotspur now just 5/6 for secure the Crystal Palace winger’s services.

The 24-year-old had been linked with a move to north London back in the summer, but a bid failed to materialise.

However, Zaha has since enjoyed a fine start to the campaign, despite the Eagles struggling in the Premier League.

Never lacking in confidence, there have often been question marks around Zaha’s ability to play for the team, rather than himself. But he’s answered his critics in fine fashion this year, with three goals and a staggering six assists.

That already makes this Zaha’s best season in the top-flight, and it’s no surprise that the division’s bigger clubs have stepped up and took notice.

Zaha re-signed for Palace back in 2014, after a year at Manchester United in which he struggled to break into David Moyes’ first-team plans.

But the latest odds suggest he could be heading for the exit door once again, with 5/2 saying he leaves in January and 1/2 saying he goes next summer.

For all their attacking quality, Spurs do lack options out wide, and have been forced to play summer-signing Moussa Sissoko on the right-hand side of midfield on several occasions this season already.

Sign Zaha though, and Poch’s men may just be one step closer to winning a major trophy.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “It’s taken a while, but it looks like Spurs will finally get their man. And Pochettino might just make a move when the January transfer opens.”

What do fans think? Is Zaha the player Tottenham need?
