West Ham and Liverpool join West Brom in pursuit of Anderlecht hotshot

West Brom will have to fight off attention from West Ham and Liverpool if they want to sign Anderlecht’s unstoppable striker Lukasz Teodorczyk.

The 25-year-old has fired in 12 goals from just 15 Belgian Jupiler League games this season, and its believed the Baggies view him as the man who can score them into the top-half of the Premier League on a permanent basis.

It’s no coincidence that West Brom’s best Premier League finish – eighth in 2012-2013 – came when they boasted a pukka striker in Romelu Lukaku.

Teodorczyk is actually on loan at the Belgian club from Dynamo Kiev, and Anderlecht themselves are keen to sign the Poland international.

In addition to his fine goal record, at 6ft 1in Teodorczyk would be a hefty presence to any Premier League front line.

Corriere dello Sport claim West Ham and Liverpool are also considering a move for the striker, for very different reasons.

For the Hammers, Teodorczyk would be the latest effort to land a consistent and successful striker, with reports continuing to suggest that in order to persuade Dimiri Payet’s to stay at the club, Slaven Bilic must make some significant signings in January.

And for Liverpool, the arrival of this bustling striker would hand Jurgen Klopp a vital tactical alternative in the bid to land this season’s Premier League.

For all of the success at Anfield this season with Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, Liverpool arguably lack a back-up plan right now.

It remains to be seen whether the Baggies can win that battle, but for now Tony Pulis will be hoping to lead his side to a third win in four games.

West Brom host Watford this weekend, and the bookies with 23/20 saying they continue their recent run of form with another three points.
