Pep Guardiola 10/1 to be sacked by Man City before the end of the season

Could it happen? Could Pep Guardiola be a one-season disaster at Manchester City? Well according to the latest odds, it can’t be ruled out.

The Europe-conquering Spaniard has overseen just four wins from his last 15 games at the helm of the Citizens.

In that time they have been knocked out of the EFL Cup and seen their odds-on favouritism for the Premier League turn into 4/1 outside shots.

And the 4-2 hammering at Leicester City was arguably the lowest point yet for Guardiola in his debut season in English football.

That result left the blue half of Manchester seven points off Chelsea in the title race, and with their boss dealing with his worst run in management.

The bookies make it a plausible 10/1 that the former Barcelona coach is dismissed by City’s owners before the end of the season.

And it’s just 4/1 that Pep is gone before the conclusion of next term.

With Alan Pardew and Bob Bradley still treading water at Crystal Palace and Swansea respectively, it seems unlikely Guardiola will be the Premier League’s next casualty.

But at 33/1, our traders aren’t ruling anything out.

City will be hoping to rediscover their form when they host Watford tonight.

And this time the odds are very much in their favour, with 2/7 saying the Hornets go home defeated this evening.
