Non-League sides backed to reach Emirates FA Cup Third Round
The Second Round of the Emirates FA Cup takes place this weekend, and as official bookmaker of the FA, Ladbrokes have priced up a number of specials for the occasion.
With 12 Non-League sides in action this weekend, the bookies go 7/5 that over 3.5 of them reach the famous Third Round and a chance of a dream tie with the likes of Manchester United or Liverpool.
It’s 9/2 meanwhile that we see a bumper haul of at least seven Non-League outfits in the hat.
National League side Eastleigh are 5/2 favourites to be the last Non-League side standing in the competition, having already knocked out Swindon.
Halifax Town are 7/2 to be the Non-League’s longest survivors, with 5/1 saying Lincoln City achieve that role.
A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “40 teams are dreaming of an Emirates FA Cup Third Round date with the Premier League’s biggest, and we’re ready to go with a host of special markets.”
“Our traders are expecting more Cup magic this weekend, with 7/5 saying that we’ll be seeing at least four Non-League outfits in the hat for one of the greatest weekends of football come January.”
Macclesfield Town will hope to lead the charge of the Non-League outfits, when they host League One side Oxford United tonight.
The Silkmen are 17/4 to cause a memorable Cup upset at Moss Rose.
