Could this Ligue 1 winger be one of Bob Bradley’s Swansea saviours?

Swansea City are in a relegation battle and manager Bob Bradley needs to do some transfer business next month. Happily for the Welsh club and their American coach, they may have just found one such transfer target.

Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep is entering the final six months of his contract, and both he and the Ligue 1 outfit look ready to part ways.

The French side are reportedly coming round to the idea of selling the 24-year-old next month in order to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.

That’s great news for the Swans, who sit in the relegation zone ahead of the Premier League’s midweek action.

Earlier this week we highlighted three potential men who could join the Welsh club next month, and Ntep adds another possible arrival.

The French international boasts a tidy five assists from 13 appearances this term, in addition to a solitary strike of his own.

Injuries ravaged his season last term, but if Swansea can land the speedy winger who netted nine times and supplied seven assists in the 2014-15 season, then they’ll be much the better for it.

Ntep joined Les Rouges at Noirs in January 2014, after a number of impressive seasons with Auxerre, where he came through their youth academy.

The winger is valued at £8m, but Rennes are in a rock and a hard place when it comes to negotiations next month, handing Swansea the advantage.

With Fernando Llorente and Borja Baston up front, Swansea do have quality to score goals, but it can be argued that the service has been somewhat lacking.

Sign up Ntep however, and the goals could start flowing a lot more often in Wales.
