Who is the Arsenal and Man City target dubbed the ‘new Balotelli’?

Manchester City have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus’ teenage wonderkid Moise Kean.

The 16-year-old forward is viewed as the next big thing in Italy, and has been likened by many to Mario Balotelli – for his talent on the pitch, not off-field activities.

Kean is already playing for Juve’s U19s, despite only turning 16 in February.

Arsenal are known to be long-term admirers of the Italian, while Man City have recently upped their interest.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have also both been linked with a move for Kean this year.

The forward has already landed the services of star agent Mino Raiola, whose client list includes a few well known names including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and, yep, Balotelli.

It’s unsurprising then to learn that Juve are currently trying to ward off any potential suitors by preparing a long-term contract for their teenage prodigy.

That deal has yet to be reached however, and Man City will seem an even more attractive proposition for Kean after their 3-1 humbling of Barcelona last night.

The stunning victory has seen City’s Champions League odds tumble from 12/1 into 9/1 as Guardiola sets about making the Blues the dominant force in Europe.

As for Arsenal, they’ll be hoping that their success in bringing through the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin, will convince Kean that the Emirates is the best place for him to develop.

The Gunners qualified for the Champions League group stages last night, and will turn their attention now to Sunday’s north London derby.

Arsene Wenger’s men are Evens favourites for victory over local rivals Tottenham.
