The teenage sensation ready to oust Martial at Man United

With reports that Anthony Martial is running out of time to persuade the Manchester United top brass of sticking by him, Jose Mourinho may have already earmarked his replacement in the form of Genk’s 19-year-old wonderkid Leon Bailey.

The Jamaican winger has shone for the Belgian outfit this season, with a series of impressive performances catching the eye of Europe’s biggest clubs.

And the press this week claim United are beginning to line-up the teenager as the next big star to hit Old Trafford.

Bailey’s eight goals and eight assists in all competitions this season are impressive returns pre-Christmas, and far trump Martial’s two goals and two assists.

After his big-money move and dream debut against Liverpool, things have undeniably turned sour for the Frenchman at the Theatre of Dreams.

This week’s Bailey link will only heighten speculation that his time at United could be cut short.

The news is also a further blow to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who despite a starring role in this week’s Europa League win over Feyenoord, has yet to be handed a chance in the Premier League.

United have also been linked with a move for Chelsea winger Willian, to compound the Armenian’s woes.

But back to Bailey, and the 19-year-old has already turned out for Jamaica’s U23 side, while a senior debut can’t be far away.

The winger appears to have a sharp mind too stating this week that while he dreams of playing in the Premier League, he would only join the Red Devils if assured of first-team football.

With that in mind, don’t expect Bailey to sit on the bench upon arrival. Valued at just over £10m by transfermarkt.co,uk, United seemingly view this Jamaican sensation as the man to make them tick once again.
