The 5/1 shot which could be the best bet of the US Election

Published:

Having been odds-on throughout much of the year, there hasn’t been much value in backing Hillary Clinton outright to win the 2016 US Presidential Election.

Even now, on Election Day, the Democrat nominee’s 1/4 odds mean many will look to other markets for a shot at greater returns.

And the prediction’s from a man who should know a thing or two may tempt you to consider a 5/1 shot.

Tim Miller, the communications chief for former Republican candidate has made his thoughts clear.

If Miller is correct with his prediction, then Clinton to claim 330-349 Electoral College Votes at 5/1 is the bet to be had tonight.

Should the first wave of exit polls – around 00:00 GMT – suggest Clinton has a bigger advantage than previous polls suggested, that 5/1 could look excellent.

While most polls have suggested Clinton claims the Popular vote with a winning margin of 0-5 per cent, there has been a consistent trickle which suggests the former Secretary of State is actually set for a larger win between 5 and 10 per cent.

Again, the bookies may be overlooking a large victory, with 5 to 10 per cent perhaps more appealing at 5/2, than 0-5 at 11/8.
