Ryan Lawrie’s X Factor journey looks set to come to an end this week

Published:

We’re now just four weeks away from finding out which hopeful will be crowned the winner of X Factor 2016. But before then, we still need to whittle down the remaining six acts to an eventual three for the final weekend.

And if the latest odds are anything to go by, this may well be the end of the road for Ryan Lawrie.

The 20-year-old found himself in his first sing-off of the series last weekend, where he was controversially saved at the last minute after Sharon Osbourne opted to take the vote to Deadlock.

But he may well have used up all of his lives as we head into the final stages of the competition.

With Matt Terry, Emily Middlemas, 5 After Midnight and Honey G yet to find themselves in the bottom two or three, Ryan and Saara Alto look set to battle it out for a spot in the final five.

And that’s bad news for the Scot, as he’s up against a woman who has found herself in three sing-offs to date, sailing through each time.

While 10/3 says she faces the boot this weekend, at 1/2 our traders think it’s much more likely that Ryan leaves.

Meanwhile, there’s an outside chance of Honey G being eliminated at 8/1. But, as has so often been the case this series, the odds suggest she has more chance of winning the whole thing than going home this weekend.

And if you think there could be an upset on the cards, we’re offering 50/1 for Matt to go, while it’s 12/1 for Emily’s journey to come to an end and 20s for Louis Walsh’s final act, 5 After Midnight, are sent packing.

A quick look at the outright market tells you the last remaining group on the show are closing in on long-time favourite Matt, as they’re now the clear second-favourites at 4/1 behind Honey G and Emily at 6s respectively.
