Paul Lambert set to take over the reigns at Wolves
Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert will become the next Wolverhampton Wanderers boss.
That’s the view according to today’s @Ladbrokes Twitter poll, which pitched the former Norwich coach alongside Nigel Pearson and Tim Sherwood in the battle to succeed Walter Zenga.
Zenga was ousted following just 87 days at the Championship outfit.
And the bookies support today’s poll result with 1/5 on offer for Lambert to mark his return to management in the Midlands by taking the Wolves vacancy.
Some 40 per cent of you voted for the Scot today, ahead of ex-Tottenham manager Sherwood.
That left Pearson in third, despite his Championship-promotion pedigree with Leicester City.
Former Celtic midfielder Lambert has been a free agent since leaving Blackburn at the end of last season.
Like Pearson, the ex-Scotland international also boasts the knowhow of how to succeed in England’s second tier, taking Norwich into the Premier League in 2010.
