Odds-on over 12 non-league sides reach the Emirates FA Cup Second Round
The First Round of the Emirates FA Cup is always one of the highlights of the footballing calendar. It’s a chance for Non-League sides to get one-up on their more established counterparts, and we’ve priced up a host of specials for one of the most popular weekends of the year.
With sides ranging from 2008 Cup winners Portsmouth to Midland Premier League side Westfields FC, the Emirates FA Cup brings together all sorts of clubs of varying sizes, fortunes and history.
Some 40 ties will take place this weekend, where 16 Non-League outfits will have the opportunity to send a member of the 92 packing.
In total, 32 Non-League clubs will be taking part in the Emirates FA Cup First Round Proper, and the bookies make it odds-on at 4/6 that at least 12 of those reach the next stage.
It’s 11/10 that under 11.5 non-league sides bag a spot in the Second Round.
And with 33 of the 40 fixtures seeing sides from different leagues come face to face, it’s Evens that we see at least four clubs ousted by lower league opponents.
The bookies go 8/11 that only three clubs manage to conjure a piece of Emirates FA Cup magic with a Cup upset.
Completing our range of specials is the Replays market.
With the likes of Chesham United – Level seven – away at League One giants Peterborough United, sometimes a Replay can do financial wonders for the smaller outfits.
