Joel Dommett quietly going about his business in I’m a Celeb

Published:

The camp is losing celebrities at an incredibly fast rate, and with every evicted contestant, comedian Joel Dommett’s odds are falling. He’s now 7/2 to be crowned King of the Jungle, having entered the show as a 12/1 outsider.

As things stand, it’s Scarlett Moffatt who’s favourite for the win at 6/4, while Adam Thomas is close behind at 2/1.

But it’s worth noting that those two have headed the market almost from the offset, and it’d be surprising if they stayed there for the duration of the show.

That makes Joel great value at 7/2, as the 31-year-old has seemingly struck a chord with viewers and punters alike.

And last year’s winner, Vicky Pattison, did just that, too. She headed Down Under as a 16/1 outsider, before running away with it in the final week.

Joel has had a lot of support in the last few days from a betting perspective, with a handful of punters placing three-figure sums on him since the start of the week. In fact, only Scarlett, Adam and Larry Lamb have had more staked on them to win than the comedian since the show began.

The latter, however, is some way off the frontrunners, with 20/1 saying he is crowned King of the Jungle. That’s a price he shares with Wayne Bridge, only the former England international is the favourite to be booted off the show tonight at 7/4.

But don’t be fooled by those odds – Carol Vorderman has been favourite to leave for the last two days, yet she’s still hanging on in there, albeit by a thread.

Sam Quek remains a 33/1 shot to go all the way, and there may well be some value in the 9/4 on offer for her to be evicted this evening.
