Ross County celebrate - Ladbrokes Premiership

Ross County notched a first win in 10 games to haul themselves off the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership table with St. Johnstone the opposition on the wrong end of a six-goal thriller on Saturday afternoon.

Jay McEveley and Christopher Routis put the visitors in the driving seat before half-time with their powerful headers handing Jim McIntrye’s side the crucial advantage.

Craig Curran added what looked to be the decisive goal on 63 minutes but the drama didn’t end there.

Tommy Wright’s Saints threatened an almighty comeback in Perthshire. Danny Swanson reduced the arrears from the penalty-spot before a Steven MacLean strike ensured a nervy finish.

The Staggies ploughed on though and Liam Boyce added the gloss in the 83rd minute.

And while County were left celebrating, Wright and co. have plenty to ponder following a third defeat in four at McDiarmid Park.

Here are the highlights from an action-packed encounter…
