From the moment England and Scotland first met in 1872, matches between the two sides have always been special.
And 144 years later we’re about to be served up another fascinating slice of the oldest rivalry in international football.
The anticipation is rising ahead of the upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifier at Wembley and we’ve been busy speaking to two men who know all about what it means to pull on the national jerseys of the Three Lions and the Tartan Army – Terry Butcher and Ally McCoist.
Back in May 1989 Butcher and McCoist faced a unique situation.
On May 20 they lined-up together as team-mates when Rangers took on Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park.
But just a week later at the same venue they found themselves on opposite sides when England headed north of the border.
