X Factor: Motown Week doesn’t help this contestant’s survival hopes

While the front end of the market has been completely dominated by Matt Terry since his first audition back in August, the live shows have brought with them another market worth considering, that being the Next Act to be Eliminated.

Last week it was Bratavio who were favourites for the boot, so it came as no surprise when three of the four judges voted the duo out of the competition in favour of Sharon Osbourne’s act, Saara Alto.

But while she would have been celebrating last weekend, the odds are suggesting it’ll be another week of doom and gloom for the show’s first ever Finnish act, as she’s the 6/4 favourite to be sent packing on Sunday night.

While her Save Me song last week impressed the judges, the Jukebox Wheel looks to have sealed Saara’s fate, as she has to perform a Motown track this time around – a genre which couldn’t be further from her comfort zone.

Saara is closely followed in the elimination market by Freddy Parker at 2/1, and he was one of the three acts last week to receive the least amount of votes.

And one of last week’s favourites for the chop, Relley C, is continuing to impress viewers and punters alike. The Brummie girl is 6/1 to lose her place in the show.

Returnees Four of Diamonds look to already have the backing of viewers, many of who were crying out for the four-piece to take one of Louis Walsh’s three spots to the live shows back at the Judges Houses round.

And the shock departure of Brooks Way meant those wishes were granted this week, as the show announced the girl group would be taking their place. They’ve entered the market at 7/1 to win the show, while 25/1 says they immediately exit the competition.

Elsewhere, the first ever rapper to make it to the live shows, Honey G, looks to be safe for at least another week, as she’s a staggering 20/1 to face the boot on Sunday. It appears the North Weezy faithful are right behind her.
