Ore Oduba’s Strictly odds slashed following top peformance

Ore Oduba - Strictly Come Dancing

Ore Oduba is now a serious contender to be Strictly Come Dancing champion following his top score of 39 in Week Four.

The BBC presenter had been a 20/1 shot in the run up to the latest live show but after wowing the judges his odds have collapsed to just 7/2, making him the clear second favourite behind Danny Mac, ousting Louise Redknapp in the process.

Despite coming bottom of the score charts, 100/1 outsider Ed Balls avoided elimination for another week.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “We’d written Ore off but following his stunning 39 he now has to be considered a major player for the Glitterball Trophy. Another couple of weeks like that and he may even get the better of long-term favourite Danny Mac.”

Meanwhile, Ore is 9/4 to be the best of the boys with Danny Mac 8/15 in the same market.

The bookies certainly think that the gents have this year’s show wrapped up with odds of just 4/11 offered for a Male winner.
