Odds slashed on Stone Roses headlining Glastonbury in 2017

Stone Roses - Glastonbury

The odds on The Stone Roses headlining Glastonbury Festival next year have been slashed following a flurry of bets.

Following the news that Radiohead will take to the Pyramid stage on the Friday evening for the first time in 14 years, punters have rushed to place bets on The Stone Roses joining them in Somerset, and their odds have been cut into Evens.

It’s a 6/4 shot Guns N’ Roses take a slot, with Kasabian chalked up at 3/1. Lady Gaga would be a questionable choice for some Glastonbury-goers at 5/1, or there’s 6/1 on offer Kings of Leon head to Worthy Farm next year.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “With the Roses concluding their 2017 tour on the Saturday evening in Glasgow, punters have quickly put two and two together, leaving them as the obvious choice to sign off Glastonbury on Sunday.”

She added: “If the money’s to be believed Daft Punk and Lady Gaga are also in with a serious shout of getting the party going in Pilton.”
