Marco Silva and Sam Allardyce lead the contenders for Wolves job

Former Sporting Lisbon boss Marco Silva is the early favourite to become the new Wolves manager, after the Championship club parted company with Walter Zenga.
The former Sampdoria goalkeeper only took charge of the west Midlands club at the end of July, but after just 87 days, Zenga’s tenure is up.
Wolves sit 18th in the Championship with just four wins from 14 fixtures, and Silva is 7/4 favourite to replace Zenga in the dugout.
The Portuguese is without a club since leaving Olympiacos, but did lead the Greek outfit to a 43rd Superleague title last season.
Dudley-born Sam Allardyce is second in the running at 3/1, the same price as former Bordeaux boss Willy Sagnol.
Those three are the main contenders according to the bookies, with Steve Cotterill next up at 9s.
Interim boss Rob Edwards is a 12/1 shot to be handed the post full-time, alongside former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson and ex-Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood.
Among the outsiders are Nigel Adkins at 20/1, while Malky Mackay and Ryan Giggs are deemed an unlikely 25/1 shot to get the job.
With no midweek fixture, the Molineux outfit have a few days to get their affairs in order, before heading to Blackburn on Saturday.
The clash between two of the Football League’s founder members is something of a six-pointer, with Rovers mired in the relegation zone.
Wolves are 7/5 for a much-needed three points, but it remains to be seen who will take charge of the side at Ewood Park.
