Liverpool v Manchester United: Mourinho to stall Reds’ charge

Liverpool may have only played two home games so far this season, but travelling to Anfield looks to be a daunting prospect for the rest of the Premier League already.

Later that month, Hull arrived with their depleted squad and were reduced to 10-men within the first half an hour. They left with a 5-1 thumping on their record.

The Portuguese has made a career out of stopping vaunted attacking outfits in their tracks – Inter Milan’s halting of Barcelona in the Champions League perhaps his most famous example.

Only Watford have managed to score multiple goals against the Red Devils as a home side and shutting out a vibrant Liverpool side will be their prime objective.

They have history of doing so too. The Reds have only scored more than one goal in two home games from seven outings against their Old Trafford rivals.
