Ladbrokes Premiership: Get on dynamic Dembele to net in Celtic win

Published:

The race to catch Celtic at the summit of the Ladbrokes Premiership resumes this weekend, with Aberdeen and Hearts looking to keep the pressure on as they host Ross County and Dundee respectively.

However, the Hoops are likely to continue their fine form as they welcome a Motherwell side without an away win since early August.

Here are our best bets for a full house of Premiership fixtures…

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Rangers

It was no surprise when Richie Foran was named Ladbrokes Premiership Manager of the Month for September, following draws with Aberdeen and Celtic, and victory over Dundee. And they extended their unbeaten run to five against Hamilton Academical earlier this month.

By contrast, Rangers have just one point to show from their last three away games, and face a midfielder in top-form in the shape of Liam Polworth. The Caley man has scored in each of his last two games and is well-priced to do so again here at 4/1.

Best Bet: Polworth to score anytime @ 4/1

Celtic v Motherwell

Little doubt who’s going to win this one, with Celtic having won their last two against the Well by an aggregate score of 12-0.

Moussa Dembele netted twice in the Bhoys’ 5-0 League Cup triumph over Mark McGhee’s men and his impressive goalscoring form has continued apace, with five in his last four games. Expect him to be at the heart of another commanding Hoops win.

Best Bet: Dembele to score and Celtic to win @ 8/13

St Johnstone v Kilmarnock

Tommy Wright’s men are continuing to boost their reputation for defensive solidity, having conceded just once in their last four Ladbrokes Premiership games, taking 10 points in the process.

The hosts led at half-time in two of those three victories, and face a Killie side who have trailed at the break and lost in their last couple of games. Expect the Sainties to race ahead and sail to a fourth win in five.

Best Bet: HT/FT – St Johnstone/St Johnstone @ 5/4

Partick Thistle v Hamilton Academical

The stats all point to a draw in this one. Thistle have seen two of their last three outings end level, while Accies have shared the spoils in half of their Ladbrokes Premiership games this season.

Of the pair’s last four games combined, three of them have ended 1-1. Oh, and 1-1 has been the most frequent scoreline in the past few years, most recently in October 2015.

Best Bet: 1-1 Draw @ 5/1

Aberdeen v Ross County

The victor of this game has been difficult to predict, with Aberdeen winning 3-2 in Dingwall last season before losing 4-0 at home to the Staggies on the final day of the season.

One thing you can expect is goals. The last five clashes between this pair have seen the net bulge a whopping 19 times. Expect more of the same here.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 goals @ 17/20

Heart of Midlothian v Dundee

Things seem to come in pairs for these two – albeit with opposite fortunes. The Tynecastle outfit’s last two wins have both come by a two-goal margin, while Dundee suffered back to back 3-1 losses during September.

Add to that the fact that Hearts have taken seven points from their last three meetings with the Tayside outfit, and they look great value to win by two goals again on Sunday.

Best Bet: Hearts to win by 2 goals @ 7/2
