St. Johnstone are now fourth in the Ladbrokes Premiership table following Sunday afternoon’s 2-1 victory over Dundee at McDiarmid Park.

Fans had to wait until the second-half for the game to spring into life with Steven Anderson breaking the deadlock just after the hour mark.

And the Perth side doubled their lead when Danny Swanson converted from the penalty spot after Kevin Gomis brought down Steven MacLean.

Rory Loy then duly obliged from 12 yards to give Dundee hope late on but there was to be no fairytale ending for the visitors who are now bottom of the table having played one more game than their nearest rivals.
