East Fife do the double and claim both Ladbrokes League 1 awards

You know your team is doing something right when you claim both the Manager and Player of the Month awards. That’s the case at East Fife with Gary Naysmith and Jamie Insall the Ladbrokes League 1 winners for September.
The Fifers were unbeaten in league action last month, winning two and drawing the other of their three outings.
Insall’s brace proved the difference at home to Stranraer before Naysmith’s side picked up a respectable point away at Airdrieonians.
And the 24-year-old striker was at it again when promotion fancies Livingston came to Bayview.
Once again he grabbed a double with East Fife eventually running out 3-1 winners on home turf.
That result leaves last season’s Ladbrokes League 2 champions in fourth place in the table. The title sponsors make them 20/1 to lift this season’s silverware but those odds could soon take a tumble if The Fife continue their good run.
Next up is a trip to Hampden Park to face Queen’s Park with the visitors 5/4 to take all the points. Meanwhile, The Spiders are 13/8 shots and the draw available at 11/4.
