There are few secrets left in football thanks to the rate information is passed along and if you haven’t heard much about teenage Serie A sensation Franck Kessie before then you soon will, starting now in fact.

The 19-year-old Atalanta midfielder is blessed with the kind of frame an All Blacks winger would be proud of, and he is just as strong by the looks of his YouTube highlights reels.

If you’re a fan of Manchester United for example, you may be very interested to know that he’s built his burgeoning reputation as a defensive midfielder, though his attributes clearly lend themselves to a more box-to-box type.

This hasn’t been lost on his current employers, who, after loaning him out to Cesena last season have given the teenage battering ram licence to push on.

Kessie has netted four times in his first five Serie A appearances of 2016/17 and he’s quickly becoming the toast of the town at Le Dea.

A gifted dribbler, the Ivory Coast international also loves to have a dig from range which has been the source of two of his four goals so far this season, with one arriving from the spot.

This conversion from deep-lying anchorman to all-action centre-mid looks like a masterstroke from Atalanta albeit even Kessie’s virtuoso displays have not prevented a poor start, with the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia inhabitants sitting 19th on three points from five games.

Such struggles for the slightly unfashionable Serie A outfit make holding onto Kessie much longer a near impossible task, with AC Milan the first to show genuine interest in prising him away as early as January.

Don’t expect the Rossoneri to be unchallenged as they bid for his services however, as this is a very special player whose physicality alone will have Premier League bosses drooling like a dog outside the butchers.
