Three reasons why Liverpool versus Leicester is unmissable

Forget the Manchester derby, the game of the day this Saturday could well be Liverpool versus Leicester, and we’re about to tell you why.

With the international break taking all the attention, the Premier League positively roars back into life this Saturday with the Manchester derby at lunch-time.

But we fancy it’s the tea-time game between Liverpool and Leicester which could provide the unmissable viewing.

Here’s why…

Anfield will be ready to roar

Amazingly Liverpool began the campaign with three straight away games, so the Kop has had to wait until the middle of September to get singing and cheering.

With all that pent-up expectation and the hype of a new season, the atmosphere should be mega.

Both teams’ attack is stronger than its defence

We know how good Leicester were at keeping clean sheets last season, but after three games – four if you include the Community Shield – the Foxes have kept opponents out just once.

Liverpool have faired even worse defensively, conceding six goals already this season with no clean sheets.

Up front though… Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez… this should be all kinds of thrilling.

Manchester derby could be an anti-climax

With Man City missing Sergio Aguero, the bite really has been taken out of the Citizens’ bark this weekend.

Both sides may be more keen on not losing, rather than winning, and with three of the last four derbies seeing under 1.5 goals, Saturday’s best entertainment may have to wait until 17.30.
