St Leger: Opponents will have to reach high to top Mount Logan

The start of this year’s Ladbrokes St Leger Festival is upon us and as you’d expect we’ll be going all out to ensure you get the most from a cracking four days of racing.

Once again, Doncaster is the venue and we’re serving up a number of treats on Town Moor with up to 10 Price Boosts per day on selected horses and our industry leading Best Odds Guaranteed PLUS promotion.

Here’s how BOG+ works:

Price taken at 3/1, Returns 7/2, Paid at 4/1!

Since the start of May, over £2m has been paid out in additional winnings.

Plus, we’re 1/4 odds for ALL races at Doncaster.

But enough of the offers. Here are your bets…

NAP – Mount Logan – 16:45 Doncaster

The market clearly thinks that Roger Varian’s charge will bounce back from a disappointing effort at Glorious Goodwood and so do we.

A fairer reflection of Mount Logan’s ability is his Hardwicke Stakes fourth and a Listed win prior to that outing.

And on a similar note, the talented five-year-old should be a cut above these rivals.

NB – Andok – 14:30 Doncaster

A gutsy winning performance on debut at Redcar has certainly caught the eye with Amok well-fancied to record back-to-back victories.

Added to that, the form has worked out well for Richard Fahey’s mount with the runner-up of that contest going on to score.

The hat-trick chasing Notalot has to be respected while top weight Muntawatheb has been operating at a higher level and should go close but we don’t think it’ll be enough.

Lively Longshot – Go On Go On Go On – 15:00 Doncaster

Group winner Muthmir is the class act on paper although you have to go back to July last year for his most recent win, with eight outings since.

Pearl Secret is another entrant who’s capable of landing this but whether the unpredictable seven-year-old will bring his A-game remains to be seen.

In conclusion, we’re swerving the market heavyweights for Go On Go On Go On, Clive Cox’s delightfully named charge.

Three-year-olds have won this race in each of the last two years, and with our progressive pick on a four-timer there’s every chance of another one going in.
