Matt Holt: Look to the lower leagues for value in today’s 14/1 Acca

After a week off because of the international break, I’m back with my fancies for this weekend and a 14/1 Acca that’ll add to the Derby Day fireworks.
Late goals at Ewood Park and the KCOM Stadium meant that it was only Scunthorpe’s loss at Vale Park that cost us a tidy winner a fortnight ago.

A 3-0 loss at Birmingham last time out will have been a real wake up call for a Norwich side that many thought would walk the Championship alongside Newcastle.
A thumping 4-1 opening day win at Blackburn was followed by five points in three games against Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City and rivals Ipswich Town.
Traditionally, Cardiff don’t turn up away from home. They’ve picked up four victories in their last 22 games in England and haven’t won at Carrow Road since 2007.
So far this season, Blackburn have proved to be the worst side in the entire Championship.
Owen Coyle’s Rovers have lost four of their five games so far this term, only picking up a point at home against pre-season relegation favourites Burton Albion.
On the other hand, QPR have made a decent start this season. They’ve picked up nine points from five games and sit fifth in the Championship. They’ve lost only seven of their last 54 home games in England’s second tier.
We’re nine games into the season and Coventry’s only victory has come against West Ham’s U23 side.
The Sky Blues are second bottom of League One and have lost all three of their away games this season, with their victory over Oldham Athletic in May their only win on the road in their last 20 games against a side that wasn’t relegated.
Millwall’s home form speaks for itself. They’re unbeaten in 12 at The Den, winning nine of those matches.
After Scunthorpe let us down last time, I’m back again for another dabble on the Irons. They haven’t played since that game (unlike most other sides in League One) but still sit fifth in the table.
They’ve won their last six home league games in a row and are unbeaten at Glanford Park in 2016, including a 1-0 victory over Southend in February.
The Shrimpers have a win and a draw from their last couple of away games but had won one in 10 outside of SS2 prior to that, losing the other nine.
Aldershot’s start to the season has come as a surprise to many but has been thoroughly deserved. The Shots are fourth in the National League with 16 points from their eight games so far, including 12/12 at the Electrical Services Stadium.
This has included big wins against Wrexham and Tranmere, while Chester are almost the complete opposite. They’ve picked up 1/12 points away from home this season and sit just above the relegation zone.
Aldershot won this fixture 3-1 last season and I feel it wouldn’t be wrong to expect a similar scoreline here.
