Large majority of fans think Jose Mourinho has been ‘found out’

Jose Mourinho - Man United

It’s fair to say it’s not been the greatest nine days for Jose Mourinho.  Not only has the Manchester United gaffer lost three games in a row for the first time since 2006, a large majority of fans have also been quick to stick the boot in by claiming he’s been ‘found out’.

That’s the conclusion of our latest Twitter poll with 61 per cent of the opinion that The Special One has lost his magic touch.

A chastening defeat in the Manchester derby, a ponderous display against Feyenoord and a mightily disappointing 3-1 reverse at Watford yesterday have cranked up the pressure on the Portuguese.

And while it may be very early in his Red Devils tenure, the odds on Mourinho being sacked by the end of the season have been repeatedly slashed with 8/1 now available for that outcome.

So, where do the problems lie?

One thing is certain, not many of you are prepared to give Jose much slack with just 39 per cent of voters willing to leap to the 53-year-old’s defence.

Mourinho has passed the blame on to his players but that argument has been given short shrift by fans ahead of United’s EFL Cup tie against Northampton Town on Wednesday night.

It’s 9/1 for the League One side to triumph at Sixfields and provide the Mourinho doubters with even more ammo while it’s 3/10 for an away win and 9/2 for a draw in 90 minutes.
