Ladbrokes Premiership: Back Aberdeen to return to winning ways

After an international break in which Scotland reigned supreme with a 5-1 victory in Malta, it’s back to business in the Ladbrokes Premiership, as Rangers and Celtic face off in the league for the first time since 2012 and Aberdeen look to return to winning ways.
Ahead of another weekend of tasty ties, here are our top bets on the action…
Celtic v Rangers
All eyes will be on Celtic Park on Saturday lunchtime, as the Glasgow giants face off in their first league clash since 2012. And the stats suggest that we’re set to see an exciting contest, with both sides having found the net in every Ladbrokes Premiership game this season – seven games combined.
Add to that the fact that neither have kept a clean sheet in the league so far, and backing Both Teams to Score here looks like easy money.

Aberdeen v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
The Dons may have struggled at Celtic last time out, but form – and history – suggest this will be a much more straightforward task for Derek McInnes men, who have taken seven points from their last three meetings with the Caley Jags at Pittodrie.
The hosts have looked good on their home patch this season, with three wins and two draws in all competitions so far, while Inverness have lost every game on the road, including defeat to League 1 Alloa Athletic. They’ve also been behind at half-time in all four games, so the Dons look great value to lead early and stay ahead.

Ross County v Motherwell
The net has barely stopped bulging at the Global Energy Stadium, with 13 goals flying in during the last three games in Dingwall. And that looks set to continue this weekend with visitors Motherwell having scored in six of their last eight outings.
But while Mark McGhee’s men are likely to get a name on the scoresheet, it’s County who are better equipped for the three points, with strikers Brian Graham and Liam Boyce already on six and five goals for the season respectively.
Best Bet: Ross County to win and BTTS @ 11/4
Partick Thistle v St Johnstone
The Jags have a great chance to end their mini-wobble this weekend with another home win against St Johnstone. The Perth outfit haven’t found the net on any of their last three visits to Firhill, with Thistle winning 3-0 and 2-0 in last season’s meetings here.
Add to that the fact Alan Archibald’s men have won three of their last four home games, chalking up two clean sheets along the way, and this should be a game where Thistle fans are treated to a comprehensive win.
Best Bet: Partick Thistle to win to Nil @ 7/2
Heart of Midlothian v Hamilton Academical
Hearts have impressed in recent weeks, but the Accies always give them a tough game, with Martin Canning’s side boasting two wins and a draw from the last quartet of clashes with the Gorgie club.
However, another victory might just be beyond them, with Hearts having faced Aberdeen, Inverness and Partick Thistle without defeat in recent weeks, while the last two Hamilton away days have ended in 1-1 draws. Expect another one tomorrow.
Best Bet: 1-1 Draw @ 13/2
Dundee v Kilmarnock
This is one fixture which seems to guarantee joy – or at least satisfaction – for those loyal away fans of both the Dee and Killie. And with Lee Clark’s men having enjoyed three victories in their last four road trips, there’s plenty of value in backing another away day triumph here at 3/1.
However, the best bet of all could be on Kilmarnock coming from behind to win – something they’ve already done in two away games this season, most recently at Hamilton.
