Hughes, Moyes, Mourinho or Bilic: Who’ll be the first to get the sack?

They’ve won just four games, lost 14, scored 21 goals and conceded double that figure between them in 20 games combined so far this season.
But Stoke City manager Mark Hughes ran away with today’s poll with 48 per cent of the vote when @Ladbrokes asked our followers who they thought would be the first to leave their post out of Hughes, Jose Mourinho, Slaven Bilic and David Moyes.
Elsewhere in the voting, 20 per cent of our followers agreed that Moyes would be the first Premier League manager to face the boot, while voters were torn between Bilic and Mourinho, with both bosses receiving 16 per cent each.
Of the chosen managers, Hughes has been in charge the longest at his current club, spending three years and six months with the Staffordshire outfit, and in that time he’s never failed to finish outside the top 10.
However, a horrendous start which has left Stoke at the foot of the Premier League has meant the former Manchester United star is the 11/10 favourite to face the axe before any other manager in the top-flight this season.
Granted, the fixture list wasn’t very generous to Hughes, whose only home games this season have been against two of the division’s big-boys in Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, while injuries to several key players have meant the Potters are yet to get going this campaign.
The Welshman now faces a race against time to win over the Stoke City faithful, as they continue to watch as sides above them widen the gap.
And although many fans will accept that their team has been handed a tough start, what they won’t accept is the manner in which their side have performed, having already conceded a staggering 14 goals this campaign.
To put that into some context, it took Stoke 14 games last year to concede the same amount.
Up next for Hughes’ men in the league is the visit of former manager Tony Pulis’ West Brom, who won 1-0 in this fixture last campaign.
A repeat of that scoreline could see the 52-year-old boss under even more pressure.
