Fantasy Football: The three men you must consider this weekend

In a wonderful week of live top-quality football on the TV each night, it’s amazing how quickly the weekend comes around. And with Friday Night Football to look forward to, you need to prepare your Fantasy Football squad sooner than you might think.
Chelsea and Liverpool get the Premier League action underway at Stamford Bridge, but that’s not a fixture we’ve got our eye on in the quest to climb up those Fantasy rankings.
Instead we’ve picked out three home sides, and one player from each who you really should think about fitting into your team.
Let’s begin at White Hart Lane…
The form man
Heung-Min Son – Tottenham v Sunderland
The star of the show in Tottenham’s 4-0 rout over Sunderland – with 19 points no less – Son is a good £1m cheaper than Christian Eriksen and is in far fewer Fantasy teams.
Mauricio Pochettino will be desperate to see a response following their Champions League loss, and the visit of Sunderland is the perfect opportunity.
The Black Cats haven’t won any of their last seven trips to White Hart Lane – conceding 11 goals in their last three in north London – and after a dismal showing on Monday at home to Everton, Son should be racking up another hatful of points.
The one you can’t leave out
Raheem Sterling – Man City v Bournemouth
Is this the season where Raheem Sterling steps it up a notch? So far the England international is doing exactly that.
A fair few of your mates will have him in their squads too, but Sterling is currently City’s top Fantasy scorer, and he’s cheaper than any of Nolito, David Silva or Kevin de Bruyne.
Pep Guardiola’s men were sublime in midweek against Borussia Monchengladbach, and after hammering Bournemouth 5-1 and 4-0 last term, Sterling is ready to star in another rout this weekend.
The alternative
Marc Albrighton – Leicester v Burnley
While everyone dashes to put Riyad Mahrez in their side, we say you look to Leicester’s other flank at Marc Albrighton.
The former Aston Villa man costs a good £4m less than Mahrez, and he read the play beautifully to bag Leicester’s first ever Champions League goal this week.
The Foxes play host to a Burnley side who, in their previous two Premier League campaigns, have mustered just four away wins. Sean Dyche’s men could also target Mahrez to shut him out, allowing Albrighton even more freedom to big up your weekend points tally.
