Celtic v Rangers: Back new Hoops hitman to net in high-scoring game

Published:

From Angus to Annan, it’s fair to say there’s only been one topic of conversation across the land this week. Celtic v Rangers. The first league meeting in four years sees the top in the Ladbrokes Premiership do battle tomorrow lunchtime, and the signs suggest we’re in for a cracker.

Both the Hoops and the Gers have found the net in their seven league games combined this season, with Brendan Rodgers’ men netting 10 times to Rangers’ six.

However, despite real quality in attacking areas for both sides, each are susceptible to leaking the odd goal, with neither having kept a league clean sheet so far this campaign – though both have avoided shipping more than two in a single game.

All in all, backing Both Teams to Score looks like a smart bet indeed at 8/11, while backing over 3.5 goals at 13/8 could also be a savvy selection.

So, which players are we backing to find the net? Well, Moussa Dembele has already netted four times since joining the Hoops, including getting the last of the game against Astana, so the 9/2 for him to score last could be well worth backing.

Meanwhile, Kenny Miller – who has scored against Celtic in three all of his stints with the Gers – looks worth a flutter to net anytime at 7/2.

In the match betting, Celtic are 8/13 to bag the points, while Rangers are 9/2 and it’s 16/5 for the draw.
