Buzzword Bingo: What will we hear from Clinton and Trump?
Published:Another slice of television history will be made this evening when US Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump go head-to-head in front of a captive worldwide audience.
But what can we expect to hear from the respective Democratic and Republican nominees?
If you think you’ve got the 90-minute showdown sussed then make sure you’re all over our latest Buzzword Bingo card.
Once again we’ve priced up a number of the key stock phrases with odds of just 1/10 offered for Trump to promise to ‘make America great again’ during the first Presidential Debate.
Meanwhile, ‘Commander In Chief’ is available at 1/5 and ‘Putin’ at 1/4, with our political traders pretty confident both will get a mention.
Elsewhere, savvy punters might want to get stuck into the even-money for either candidate to say ‘Pneumonia’ at any stage in proceedings.
And those who think the Presidential candidates will refer to ‘Brexit’ at any point can take 5/1 while it’s double those odds at 10/1 ‘Monica Lewinsky’ gets a shout out.
Clinton is the favourite to win the race to The White House at 4/7 with Trump 7/5, down from 3/1 offered just a few months ago.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “Looking at the Buzzword Bingo list the best bet appears to be the debate getting personal. Trump’s POTUS odds have improved of late so we will be watching his debate performance closely.”
